What is this check?

The XML Sitemap is a file that is used by search engines to work out what URLs are important to your website and when they were last updated, this check alerts you to any URLs added and removed from the file.

The XML Sitemap is an easy way to tell Search Engines here is what is new and important about my website, if it breaks then you may find pages not indexed as quickly.

Default Rules

The default rules for this check in Little Warden are to send you a notification every time a change happens with your sitemap.xml, we will let you know which lines that have been added to the sitemap.xml and which have been removed.

Alert on text

If you want to you be more specific looking for a % change in the number of URLs or for the appearance (or disappearance) of URL's within the sitemap.xml, this will ensure you get less emails whilst still looking out for the important issues.
