HTTP Header
Check Overview
What is this check?
This check monitors the HTTP Header response for any changes and alerts you to them.
Why is this important?
When a browser visits a webpage the first thing it gets is a HTTP Header response which contains things like the response code, cache control values and lots of other tedious things that most people don't care about (until they go wrong). Changing things like Access-Control-Allow-Origin can be a security risk so for the sake of a few clicks, it's worth making sure these settings are correct and working.
Advanced Usage
Default Rules
The default settings will notify you when ANY changes affect your HTTP Header but sometimes that can be a little overwhelming.
Little Warden has lots of rules you can enable to ensure you are alerted under specific circumstances.
Specific Change Monitoring
You can add specific lines to the check to ensure they are not removed from the HTTP Header.
But I want more!
Sure thing! Send us a message on littlewarden.com with what you want to be able to configure and we will see what we can do!
