What is this check?​

It's good to link out to other resources on your webpage - it's how the internet was meant to be - but sometimes either mistake or malicious links get added to pages that shouldn't be there. We monitor all the external links and give you a nice list of them.

Why is this important?​

We've seen dodgy wordpress plugins (and dodgy employees) add links to content in exchange for cash (which is against the search engines policy). We've also seen pages suddenly get comment spammed with porn and even worse... Not only will these pages annoy your users and make them think you don't care, they might also affect your rankings.

Advanced Usage​

Default Rules​

The default rules for Little Warden are to send you an email every time a change happens with your external links. We will send you an email with all the links added and all the links removed.

You can look for specific words or links to ensure they either are kept on the page or never appear!

You can get alerted if the number of external links on the page goes above or below a certain number. If you suddenly wake up to find 400 extra external links on a page, something MIGHT have gone wrong.

I want different settings!​

Good news! You can select individual settings for indexability. If you do require this, PLEASE let us know why because we cannot for the life of us think of a single reason why but someone asked for it and so we built it.
