HrefLang

Check Overview

What is this check?

The Hreflang is a complicated bit of code which tells search engines which languages and geo-pages should be served to specific regions. Once you've got it working, the last thing you want is someone changing it without you knowing, which is what Little Warden monitors!

Why is this important?

If you get Hreflang wrong, you could end up with your German visitors reading your Spanish language product pages. (I could go on with more examples but you get the picture). At the moment, we don't validate Hreflang (we are working on something) but we can tell you if it's changed.

Advanced Usage

Default Rules

The default settings of the Hreflang check will pull in your current Hreflang settings and alert you of ANY changes to them.

But I only care about a specific region

You can easily override those settings by removing all changes and just adding a specific georegion and URL.

But I want more!

Sure thing! Send us a message on littlewarden.com with what you want to be able to configure and we will see what we can do!
